It was based on the desire to find a partner with whom we could build a sustainable solution for students, teachers and the organisation as a whole. At the same time, the desire for a domestic and easily accessible customer service was emphasised, as everyday questions needed to be answered quickly.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; We specifically wanted to find a development partner. Someone with whom we can really take things forward and build the learning environment in the direction we want,&#8221; says <strong>Jussi Peltonen<\/strong>, Information Architect at the Consortium.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where we started  <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The previous learning environment served SSKKY for a long time, but in recent years the support and development no longer met the day-to-day needs. The idea of a change matured over a couple of years, and eventually an internal project was launched within the organisation: morning coffee mornings and workshops were organised for staff to hear their needs and wishes, and different solutions were put to the test by teachers during the tendering process.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a competitive tender process in late 2024, Priima was selected and was introduced as the main learning platform for students in January 2025.The transition phase lasted a couple of months and the old environment was completely decommissioned at the end of March.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">One environment brings clarity to everyone&#8217;s work<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>At SSKKY, Priima is used for online learning, blended learning and as a support for face-to-face teaching. The aim is to ensure that well-made materials work across different implementations, so that the same content is not repeatedly built.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Priima&#8217;s themes and course bases have brought much-needed coherence. When courses look and work in the same way, peer support works better and time is left for teaching.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next step will be to extend the use of Priima to learning pathways and staff induction. Their system architecture is exceptionally advanced: the SSKKY data warehouse supplier is currently working on a tool that will allow teachers to better monitor the progress of students&#8217; studies. Groups of students from the work schedules defined for each student are assigned to the right courses in Priima, and once the courses are completed, the assessments are returned via Primus to Wilma, where the information is updated back to the teachers&#8217; new data warehouse.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students have also been provided with an electronic channel, <a href=\"https:\/\/amisplus.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amisplus<\/a>, where the same information is available. This architecture allows all parties involved to spend less time on manual work and more up-to-date visibility of learning progress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Starting and implementing cooperation<strong> <\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When the implementation started, SSKKY and Saarni Learning quickly found a common thread. Development goals were prioritised together, and integrations were taken forward as planned. As an educational association, they naturally also have internal resources, i.e. education professionals, with whom Priima can be built into the most functional entity possible.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; We have also been able to bring partners&#8217; ready-made introductory courses to Priima and publish them quickly, which has brought immediate benefits from the customer&#8217;s point of view,&#8221; says Peltonen.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The implementation project was also streamlined according to Saarni Learning&#8217;s Account Manager <strong>Henna-Riikka Ahvenj\u00e4rvi.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; The cooperation with SSKKY has been an excellent example of how to reconcile the objectives of an educational institution with a technical entity. Their system architecture has been very carefully thought out, which is directly reflected in the clarity of use for teachers and students in their daily work. When integrations work, time is freed up for other teaching activities. It was great to be involved in such a large-scale deployment and to build a solution that provides a clear basis for further development together. The development partnership enables us to develop both processes and the learning environment together,&#8221; says Ahvenj\u00e4rvi.      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More and more will be invested in Priima&#8217;s development  <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The next focus for SSKKY will be on learning pathways and strengthening the pedagogical structure.
